IMC delivers its engineering expertise in four key client service fields.

Vessel Design

IMC specialises in working collaboratively with clients to provide custom designed solutions for commercial and government vessels. In addition to new vessels, the company has extensive experience in ship conversion and modification projects.

Key areas of activity include offshore vessels, specialised cargo ships, work boats, research vessels, commercial fishing / aquaculture vessels, patrol boats and other naval / defence ships.

IMC provides the full range of ship design services from conceptual design through to shipyard production drawings.

Engineering Consultancy

IMC’s consulting engineering services extended well beyond the scope of traditional vessel design meet the requirements of the broader maritime and offshore industries. 

The company provides sophisticated design, analysis and assessment services within the fields of:

Project Management

Technical and commercial expertise applied to all stages of major project delivery from requirements analysis, project definition, contractor selection, contract management and oversight through to delivery.

Services provided to both commercial and government organisations, including the development end execution of request for proposal (RFP) processes.

Applied to vessel construction, conversion and modification programs for both IMC and third party designs, as well as non-ship projects requiring technical expertise in naval architecture, offshore and marine engineering, or structural design and analysis.

Independent Review and Verification

IMC provides independent, third party review and verification of work undertaken by other parties within all of its core areas of technical expertise. 

This expert opinion supports fully informed decision making by clients undertaking acquisition, engineering and/or manufacturing activities and can assist client’s sales and marketing efforts by providing independent assessments of their product / service offering.

By providing an independent, expert assessment IMC’s reviews also support issue and dispute resolution.
